Jon Matthews has been a constant contributor to Cricket and Football in the Riverland for over 50 years.

His commitment as player, coach, trainer and administrator to his beloved ‘Golds’ and ‘Magpies’ has ensured those clubs have not just survived, but thrived both on and of the field.

The Waikere Football Club and Waikerie Golds Cricket Club in conjunction with the Matthews Family, are delighted to invite Jon’s family and friends, team mates and anyone else he has coached, strapped or mentored along his illustrious sporting career, to join us for a celebration of one mans extraordinary commitment to country sport.
