Money Raised on the day goes to ‘The Caroline Bristow Wig Library’- Caroline was a SA police officer who was diagnosed with Cancer in 2013. Due to the side effects of chemotherapy, Caroline found comfort in wearing wigs, she loved the fact she could go out feeling great in her wig of choice. However, this can be at a hefty expense. This is when Caroline decided she would love this to become a readily available option for everybody, regardeless of whether they could afford it. She founded the Wig Library in Barmera operating out of the Barmera Hospital- A place where people can come try on wigs, get advice and hire them out for a low fee. Carol sadly lost her battle with cancer in January 2015 however her legacy lives on providing much needed support for women in the Riverland.
